我們說英語很喜歡直譯，

比如我沒時間了說成I have no time

但這句話和我們平時說的“沒時間”意思就差的太遠了。

你要和老外這樣說，他一定會一臉懵逼！

我沒時間≠I have no time

have no time 在老外理解表示：沒有多少活著的時間啦

假如你很忙說一句I have no time ，

那你老外朋友一定會馬上抱著你打急救電話！

平時我們說的“沒時間，沒空”怎麼去形容：

1，run out of time沒時間

We re running out of time。

咱們快沒時間啦！

2，in a rush 趕時間

I m in a rush， talk to you later。

我真的趕時間，晚點再找你說。

3， in a hurry匆忙，趕時間

I was in a hurry， so I took a baozi for breakfast。

我很忙，所以只吃了個包子當早餐。

4，in the middle of something

正在做某事

You see I m in the middle of something。

你看，我正忙著呢。

5，tied up 脫不了身

I am tied up。 我有事走不開。

make time ≠製造時間

時間是不能製造的

make time

表示騰出時間；抽空；爭取時間

例句：

This means to find the time to do something

that should take priority。

應當空出時間做重要的事。

make time =buy time爭取時間

注意這裡的buy不能直接理解為買，時間是買不到的

例句：

This treatment can buy time for the sick patients。

這個治療能為病人爭取時間。

時間的表達方法

英語中時間的表達方法主要有直接法和借用介詞法等。

（1）直接法。

上午6點 six AM （a。m。）

下午7點seven PM （p。m。）

六點六分six six六點三十二six thirty two

八點正eight o clock

（2）借用介詞法。

八點四十五a quarter to nine

quarter［ˈkwɔːrtər］ 一刻鐘

七點零五分five past seven

七點五十四six to eight

六點半half past six

（3）表示正點的用法。

十點正at 10 o clock sharp

at 10 o clock on the hour

at 10 o clock on the strike

正午12點at noon

午夜12點at midnight

12點22分可讀作：

twelve twenty-two：

twenty-two past twelve

1點15可讀作：

one fifteen

a quarter past one

8點50分可讀作：

eight fifty

ten to nine

1點40分可讀作：

one forty

twenty to two

“提前半小時”可用：

half an hour early

thirty minutes early

early by half an hour

half an hour ahead of time

half an hour ahead of schedule
